Dear Dad

I think I wrote a Love Letter to you on your birthday last year. I remember all the ways you held a container of safety and strength and love and care for me. Sometimes in ways I didn’t appreciate, yet always obvious. I could count on you to help me out of a jam. I remember you taking care of business when I opened my practice and was still in California.. You and Marie made sure I had a table and chairs when I moved home. One of the memories that sticks in my mind and shows up quite often is the first November after I opened you and Marie came to my Thanksgiving Day party with Corropolese Tomato Pie. You were super involved and proud. You told me (after graduation) that you weren’t so confident that I would finish chiropractic school. Such a great move to share that after I graduated, rather than when I headed out. Happy Birthday to you. I miss you quite a bit.
