Dear Chopped Liver
There’s just something about the way my mom made chopped liver that (believe it or not) I loved as a kid. Because I was her helper when I was young, I knew the ingredients, yet couldn’t get it to taste like hers. Then Rob gave me his mom’s cookbook and I could see what was missing. It’s just how many sautéed onions went into the recipe. Now I make it maybe once a year or every two years. Just had it for Thanksgiving and it was fabulous. Not sure if you have to be jewish to like it, yet one guest of jewish dissent loved it as much as I did Thanks to the chickens for their parts. I hope to live a meaningful life on your behalf.. Thanks mom for making all those years ago. Thanks Rob for bringing me your mom’s cookbook to help me with the recipe.
