Dear Third Floor Office

I spend so much time in you. You meet my needs so, so well. It just turned out that way.. I anticipated filling you with furniture like a ‘real’ room, yet seeing the open space I wanted to keep it. Now I have my work desk, my crafting table, a bunch of storage. Plenty of room for a yoga mat or three (I only use one). So stretching and movement is so easy here. The chair that Dad and Marie gave me fits perfectly and is tucked into the little alcove and is so comfortable, and the upholstery that I had done still is so lovely. There are a few treasures here as well. The huge piece of slate that my friend gifted me and the carpenter built a frame for all those years ago. I get to brainstorm on you and when I want to do yoga and use the wall, I don’t ruin any paint. My stained glass window that I designed and have brought with me to all my spaces, lives hanging just in front of one of the south facing windows. I use this room to its full potential.
