Dear Friendship(s)

I have a variety of friends that in my life. I’m old enough that some of these friends —well, one that is the entire 66 years of my life. I have many people that I’ve known and been good friends with for over 30 years, and 20 years. Just this morning I thanked a dear friend who gifted me a handmade chair the he and his girlfriend that the time made and had on thier porch. I liked them so much that my partner asked them to make me one for a birthday or Christmas or something. Well, It finally fell apart and on a vist to this friend maybe 8 years ago, he gave me the one he still had. I sit on virtually every day out side in the garden. In addition to this friend, I got two calls this week. From friends, one I made just because we lived together in the same apt. building and became sweet friends. And the friendship has endured, we figured out for 33 years so far. Earlier in the week, I got a call from my best friend in chiropractic school. We don’t get to see each other often, yet the bond is strong. Another remarkable friendship is with a guy who helps me at my house. A genius this person helps with me computer stuff as well as complicated home projects. He was already in my larger Philly friend circle and for the past couple of years we have spent so much time creating stuff together here we have become a bit closer. I think I have a mother-crush on him. I could list so many. Like a woman I met at chiropractic school. I haven’t seen her in probably 20 years and just got a call. she’s headed to Philly for a concert and could we go to dinner!?! All this to say I am grateful for my friends. Near and far, older and newer. I’m a bonder and grateful to know so many amazing people.
