Dear City of Philadelphia

I must write a love letter to you today. Sometimes it is a challenge to love you with all my heart. Sometimes I hit a pot hole that immediately flattens my tire and it has happened with more consistency this year than I enjoy. Yet yesterday when this happened, one mmore time, in a neighborhood that I don’t know, I did have a quite wonderful experience. Just as soon as myy flat became obvious a gentleman came by and told me that there was a tire place just 2 blocks away. He was sending the others that also drove through the pot hole. When I arrived at the tire place, they accepted only cash, more than the $22 I had in my purse. They told me of a store just one block away with an ATM. I have no debit card and longer story short, I was miraculously able to get cash out of the machine. He was able to replace the tire, and suggested that I go to the last place to see if I had a warranty on the recently installed popped tire, so he threw it into my car. I did my errand (getting compost and mulch from the Organic Recycling Center (my FAVORITE thing about Philadelphia) and headed home. Istopped at the tire place with the popped tier where I found out no warranty, yet they took my tire without a fee so I didn’t have to figure that out. Truth is, all this took about 1/2 hour. Easy. Convinced that is because of my gratitude practice and looking for what’s working. Convinced.
