Dear Christmas Day All Those Years Ago

When I was renovating this house, I experienced my fair share of challenges. I’d say more than my fair share, yet from what I hear happens in Philly, I was pretty lucky. I typically have a Christmas brunch, yet maybe it was 2014, and I was so bummed out about how the renovation was going that I hosted a let’s fill the walls with good thoughts, well wishes gratitudes. A bunch of friends came over, I made potato latkes, and we painted, and glued emailed good wishes and photos and prayers on the inside of the walls (as the drywall was not up yet. It was transformational. I remember that day, kinda of rainy, we had a fire outside and people were on all three floors well wishing. I believe it transformed the energy in this house (in addition to the women I hired to do that as well). Thank you to all who showed up.
